Won the race and lost the car
My first car was an 87' Firebird with a 305 all original only thing not on it from the factory was the tires. it had 45000 miles and not a scratch on it. my one friend wanted to race me in his civic last year and i accepted his offer. I had a couple car lengths on him as i finished then right as im about to tap my brakes a deer runs in front of me and slams into the driver side totalling the car out intirely. That was the last time i will ever race outside of a track again.

Buy the car back, leaves you with $500 plenty to spend for new windshield and fix the headlight.

Re: Won the race and lost the car
My 89' got backed into by an F-350. Smashed the front bumper cover, Pass side fender mangled, hood was trash, Pass side headlights ruined and headlight retainer destroyed. Got a quote of about 3-3500k in damage, and that's the whole front clip!. You got screwed buddy.... I still have my car now, luckey I got backing into by a company vehicle, they kept it off the books and fixed my car.

Im sure a deer caused more damage than a 100 windshield.
At least you didnt hit a person and learned your lesson.
