Stick with your Rx7. Uh, probably the new eclipse GT. Man...you know what are nice cars, those 300ZXs or something. Those are freaking nice cars, one of the few imports I adore.

hey I love rotary
still though give respect to you guys
used to own a 71 camaro onetime but with the 4.11s and a SB driving freeway 60 miles round trip was killing me.
had a friend one time who had a 3.1 in is camaro think it was a 90-91 said he was able to beat on those cars
just trying to verify his claim

I do not know any one times for those cars although if you have the turbo rotary it I would have to go with the RX7.

the 3.1 can take 4 BANGERS, very few import V6's. The new eclipse would eat you alive.. trust me I know... still trin to find my a$$ from that one... the civics are a joke to race, the RX-7's are tricky... if you get a N/A(non turbo) you'd take it... turbo gets tricky on anything... There's a yellow civic that beats out a 12.6 3rd every time on the street so the thing is freakin fast as fuc.

Just FYI BEWARE THE INTERCOOLER!....

The Rx7 is so much more upgradable than any of those... you can get up to 600 Hp with Turbos on that puny 1.3L engine... if you're willing to spend $5-$10k you can drop in thier 2.0L Rotary (13G racing engine) and pull an easy 300 Hp with a little performance mod and no turbos... mileage isn't that great of course, but that's not the issue... That car is so light, anything over 350 Hp and you'll probably flip it on it's back... another bonus, the body kits I've seen look ****in sweet... I am partial to first gen Rx7's

To answer the actual question, if the 89 Rx7 is Twin turbo... 255 Hp is hard to beat... N/A I would agree that the new eclipse probably wins...

hey Camaro_hunter_d as for an N/A losing to a 3.1 I know the N/A would win most the time as long as they both are stock. found that out not long ago :-) have to take on your 3.4's though

I'm mostly stock. but within the next few months my N/A should be running in the 14's

still though thinking about getting a camaro back. needa be TPI though
