Would I beat my cousin's truck....

Ok, I have an 82 firebird with a sbc 307. It has a mild summit cam (204, 214) 305 heads, performer intake, and Q-jet carb. My cousin has a ranger with a 302 motor from a mustang. I believe he has an alumium inkate, but its pretty much stock. Who would win in a race? thanks.

I think he'll take ya Even with the 58cc chambered 305 heads, the 307 just doesn't have the torque needed for racing. The 307 is a great engine for econo crusin'. Plus, the ranger probably has lower gears than your 'Bird, better off the line (if he can hook up).
