ok... give me some help here guys

Ok here's the deal.
92 Camaro RS 3.1 (i know i know, just humor me)
it has 5 spd with the 3.73 rear.. (good so far?) i think so
i have K&N, slashed box... 80 series flowmaster... yada yada yada... same stuff everone has.... ok here is the question. my car came with the "soft ride" suspension I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what that means. and if so... what is recommended to make my car handle better... not too much money cuz, i don't have too much money (good reason right?)
hahaha
thanks for all tha help fellas (and ladies?)

if this is similar to berlinettas its a luxery suspensions. some stiffer lowering springs will give you that bouncy bouncy feeling, and better cornering. thats the best low cost thing i can think of

not smooth bouncy bouncy but owwww thats stiff bouncy bouncy lol. a nice lowering kit is a cheap way to improve performance, and a front strut tower brace (available from edelbrock for tbi) is a great way to get rid of your body roll.

the cheapest thing to do would to go to the junkyard and get a complete set of springs and sway bars from a 85-92 z-28 or TA. lowering springs would work but you really need the sway bars too. besides the z28 springs will lower the car a little anyway i think. and a strut tower brace is supposed to stiffen the front so that the front suspension can work properly without flex, it does not have any affect on body roll, that is the job of the sway bars.

soon to come are 3.73 gears and subframe connecters.

if you put z28 springs in the front of a v6 car you will have WAY to stiff a spring(remeber 305's and 350's are a lot heavier and take more spring rate to hold them up right) and will have an awful ride PLUS it will ride higher in the front....your best bet is to get lowering springs for a v6.......also get progressive rate springs.....the are soft riding normally but the harder you turn the stiffer they get.....sway bars from a Z and the strut tower brace will work though....

Why dont you just try some new shock absorbers?

thanks budman i didn't even think about the v6 being lighter, my bad. lowering springs for the weight of a v6 would be the only way to go. and i strongly reccommend the z28 sway bars though. that is what will make the car corner flat, along with the springs. and a strut tower brace would be a decent idea if you have the extra money.
