1. 96 Impala ss, looked stock, from illinois, buddy's uncles car, very loud
2. 98 civic hatchback, dropped and fartin' with a 2,975 ft wing
3. 96 RS stock plus cat back and kn, tried to warn him
4. 00 corvette, little ***** can't drive a six speed, daddys money, i made his girl cheat on him once upon a time =)
5. 96 rx7 turbo, bone stock 20k miles, very nice and pretty quick, guy just thought the rotary would be faster than america's best i guess
6. 87 el camino, 350 with typical carb combo, edelbrock and kn
7. 63 nov, 383, built to the hilt but no tire and no traction
8. 72 chevy pickup, edelbrock package 350, fast for it's size

The domestics are me and my friends cruisin for a road wide enough to try this. The two imports saw us filing around and dropped in line. we talked little after the race, found out a little bout the imports. anyway, what do you guys think happened?

Just a guess based on given info and stock times. The nova sounded like it hauled, a new vette will haul @ss even if you start in 2nd and cant shift, thridgen RX-7's are fast, the el camino is a guess (probably 14's), 96 SS probably high 14's-low 15's, the pickup a little slower, the RS would be lucky to run a low 15, and the 18 second honda in last place. Wow I just ran outa breath. Just thought Id include a little info on why I ranked them how I did.

AND the winner is...
The Impala.. We popped the hood afterwards and saw three little letters all over the engine compartment...LPE, guys uncle obviously had some money, and that big 4 door blew away even the vette by a few lengths, which leads me to...
2. 00 vette, guy did ok but he shouldve come closer

7. Nova, spun the tires all the way, never got traction, but started catchin up in fourth
6. RS, lost his mulah
5. pickup, told ya, fast for its size
4. RX-7 not a bad little car, bit of a sleeper, and one of the few imports i like
3. The elco, pretty damn quick, with really low gears and meaty tires it just hooked

that impala was amazing, clicked off a mid 12 in a 4200 pound car, too. couldn't believe it, even the rx-7 was talkin smc before the race, then the civic guy brought up gas mileage and nearly got stoned to death, haha, fun night man

 

An Impala from Illinois? Never, no, NEVER mess with one if it seems modded at all. Ever heard of "The Herd" I think it's called? Group of Impala, not enthusiasts, whackjobs, that turn those things into total beasts, based here in Illinois. They showed up at a local cruise night a few months ago, and I swear there were at least 60 of them, mean looking to begin with, mostly stock in appearence, and under the hood makes you scared that these things were available to cops. Heck, I probably saw that LPE one there that night.

Anyway, sounds like a fun lineup. Next time put the $100 under the hood, and race just for fun.

That reminds me of an Impala I saw at a car show here in the land of lincoln. It had a superramed 383 with nitrous and a 6 speed. That was one sweet car. What got me was the owner kept the stock tire size and rims to make it look stock. I dont know how the Hell he hooked up at all. I think it had a 3.73 rear on top of everything else. I was way off with my guess!
