hp of my car

Transmission: 700R-4
hp of my car

i have heard that the hp on the 305's were 150, is this correct? if so i am kinda shocked, that a 4 banger can put out more hp than me. thanks for the help

also remember that hp is based on rpm
if you put out 250 ft/lb and 2000 rpms only has 95.2 hp but if a car that puts out 150 ft/lbs at 7000 rpms he has about 199.9 hp


all based off of rpm

right back in the 80's was basicaly the exparamental years with FI and now the've got it perfected more so your seeing LOTS of power out of cars nower days, even 6's and some 4's are pretty decent.

Exactly guys. In the mid "80s I don't think there was a such THING as a high-performance (within modern standards) NA EFI 4-cyl! The mfgs had some work to do when getting the hang of making power with EFI and meeting emissions standards, but they seem to have got it now! Insurance companies liked those low output engines though
