A ticket will be alot cheaper than a new TC.

When you go to court where a suit and tie and be polite. You never know, you may be offered driving school in exchange for it not being on your record. I got that for my last two tickets and while the driving school cost $70 each time my insurance never knew.

Good Luck.

If powerbraking messes up torque converter, then how can us automatic guys do burn outs, without messing up anything?

It won't kill it with a few times, but over some time it will tear up it up. It causes excess heat in the TC. If you want a professional opinion, just PM transfixleo.

You would have to do a hell of a burnout to tear a perfectly fine trans, the only difference in heat is you are not getting any cool air. That you would normally get while driving, so if you did a burnout for even an entire minute. Which would feel like forever, I do not think you would damage anything. I have done a lot of burnouts in my car, with no problems. I got a ticket at the dream cruise in august for doing a burnout. We had idled in traffic for like two hours, and then I was forced to do a giant burnout for the crowd. So if it was going to burn anything up it would have then. I do have a trans cooler installed.

FWIW, I held my 'vert at redline long enough to burn down and pop a brand new set of 14" tires one time with no ill consequences to my transmission or engine.
