couple of ricers try me over spring break
too bad this doesn't have to do with my thirdgen but i thought i should share with you my laughs as my friends and i travelled to florida last week.
My mom graciously let me take her 2002 trailblazer( with optional 4.10 gear) to florida with my girlfriend, my buddy xxwarrior36xx and his gf.
I was driving in new port richey on a 4 lane divided road when an acura integra vtec passed me. It had one of those ridiculous exhaust tips and some rims, not sure what else. as he came by me he slowed down and downshifted so i dropped the trailblazer into second and we raced from about 45-70 mph. It was dead even, i thought that was so funny. the guy turned at the next light. Why did the guy even pick a race with an suv?
Then yesterday on the 18 hour nonstop drive back to michigan, a honda prelude cut me off in atlanta on I75. I pulled around him and passed him and then he came up beside me and we both floored it. The trailblazer was loaded to the gills with all of our luggage and four people, it was probably weighing about 5500 pounds. This time i pulled on the little riceburner but we proceeded to weave traffic through atlanta, another integra joined us but both exited.
I just thought it was so funny that these guys actually felt that racing a trailblazer was a legitimate race. I guess it proved that the ricers are better suited to racing heavy sport utility vehicles than thirdgens. i wouldn't even waste the gas if i had my Z28!

Ricers are so stupid, i guess its all over the whole U.S. Around here they will race anything, i still even beat most of them in my 93 Bonneville! How pathetic is that? Will they ever learn?

I live in Atl and that's a normal thing. They're like locust around here. They'll try to race you in anything and anywhere. The next stop light could be like 200' away and they'll sit there and rev their engines and floor for the whole 120'. Oh yeah by the way, being cut off in Atl is normal thing. It doesn't always mean they want to race you. I got cut off by a soccer mom (I know, because she had one of those stupid soccer ball stickers on her gas cap door) , in an Excursion no less. Like she's in a Miata or something.
That's it I'm starting a petition to get all these ricers and soccer mom SUV's off our roads!!

I got dibbs on second to sign it!
F*ckin SUVs think they're all hot! I still get 5 MPG over any of them.
I have to give a little credit to Honda though, for SUV's that get over 20...
