1LE's on the Board :)

I am wondering about three things;

1) How fast would you say a almost stock (K&N's, Chip, Ported plenum) 1992 Camaro Z28 1le 25th anni. would run in the 1/4 mile? My car also has the deleted options, N10 performance exhaust,3.42 performance axle, and rear discs(bet they come in handy in the quarter mile

2) Is a 1LE Z28 slightly faster than a regular Z28?

3) How many people on this board have 1LE's?

Thanks in advance!

The 1LE cars are faster because they are the stripper cars. All those options add up the weight quickly. I personally saw a '91 1LE 5 speed 305 car go 14.4 in the 1/4 @ sea level with just a K&N filter.

Oh and all those things you said in 1) that your car comes with, is the way all 1LE's came from the factory. (except the 350s got the 3.23 rear)

P.S. A coworker of mine has a 91 1LE 5 speed/305 black

Remember that the 1LE was created as a motorsport car for the Player's Challenge races, and not a drag racer.

As for the 1/4, I have a friend with a 305 1LE that ran a 14.6 with a K&N, and a Flowmaster

Yeah, these cars were made for auto x, but, they are very impressive in the 1/4 mi., even with the 305. I haven't heard of one running slower than 14.8 stock!
