Stock Ford Probe 140mph??
Stock Ford Probe 140mph??
Hey guys. Theres this guy who just started driving his "new" ford probe to school the other day, and he's making it out to be a real bad @$$. When he first drove in, me and the rest of my v-8 friends new it was junk, but it seemed like a lot of other people we talked to were talking it up. Apparently the kids been saying he can get total air over hills and it has a top speed of 140mph
I keep telling everyone that a probe doesn't have that kind of power, and even if it did, with the automatic trans, and stock gears, he would have had to be doin like 10,000 rpm. I'm thinking about challenging this crack head to a race with my stock lg4 84 ta. Whats gonna happen??

I doubt that a ford could get the much top speed
though what kind of gears does he run?
know my wankel with 4.10 rear can hit about 160 or so top speed

Every probe I've run has petered out about 115 or so.. I don't think a probe could do 140 even dropped like the ****'s in the Blues Bro's. Rent a Malbu and romp him in it!

Reminds me of a friend of mine who thought that his 80s 4cylinder Japanese car. He claimed 155.

If it's a turbo 4 cylinder or 2.5 V6, 140 might be possible downhill. 125-130 is more like it. BTW- if it is one of the two above, don't race. You'll get embarassed. It's better to just
pretend with the LG4 than to try and actually race someone. I know, I've been there.
