Damn pop-ups!

Well it was just a matter of time, damn passenger side headlight motor went. Does anyone have any tips on replacing them? Also, I still need to find a good used one. GM still has some new units available (at $300!), and Paradise Alley is always a last resort.

Well I've got your TFbM card here. With that your motor wouldn't be that much from GM. Keep in mind that anything from Paradise Alley is used.

If I can remember where I saw it, there was a tech post on rebuilding the gears inside. If I think of where I saw it,I will post it.

I read on the tech boards that some guys just took the motor apart and cleaned the contacts and that fixed it. Maybe this weekend I'll have a chance to pull it out and open it up.

thanks guys

Hey Nathan,I saw that on a link from someones site. The cost is $300. They would never need replacing.

I would just hold off till the next rainy day and see if it does it again. Perhaps moisture is getting into the motor?!?
