Newbie Question

Greetings fellow GM Wrench Heads!

I am in the process of building my '90 Corvette. I've had a fresh ZZ4 engine installed, with mostly stock TPI set up. Can anyone recommend a competent tuner in the Cambridge/Waterloo area?

I am tired of throwing money out the window on mechanics that aren't on their game!

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Many thanks.

First of all, very nice car! I unfortunately don't know of any good mechanic in that area, but there is a couple members on this board that might be able to help you out.

Welcome to the site.

Sorry, I can't help you. I'm having the same problem.
Mind is in another shop right now.
Seems most shops have the equipment, but they don't know what to do with it or how to read.
Wish ya luck.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

IROCKER, cool ghost flames, nicest I've seen since http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S...an_c54tim.html

nblanchard, I've got a mix of factory looms and Moroso. http://www.made4uproducts.com/ They make some really nice ones too. $$$$ The engine runs impressive, but it needs to be fine tuned.

You'd think there has to be some guru in Southern Ontario.

Hey thanx Barbie... I will look into getting one of those loom kits... the one that covers the valve cover would be nice.. cause then I wouldn't have to put chromies on.. hehe...

Got a dumb question... you are a woman right? Did you do all your engine work? Whats wrong withthe engine, that you need someone to tune it?

Cause....
that's my name!

I had a custom Prom done by Howell Engine Developments, Inc. So, that's all good. And I realize with a speed density system any minor change needs to be retweeked. Just as it is right now it has to be fine tuned.... running rich yada yada....

Thanks, I have already talked to Nick. And basically was told he can't be bothered with jobs in this area now. He is chasing US dollars.

I'm running out of options, without taking it half way across the country.

That's one of the coolest C4s I've ever seen.... as far as TPI tuning, I don't know of much in your area. ARE (Agostino) is yer best bet if you can get it up there.

Hey Barbie.... is your name Barbara, and people call you Barbie? My friend's nicename is Barbe... anyway...

About the car... do you have an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator? if so, then you can adjust that to get the best performance.. and even better... you can get a fuel ratio meter to make it much easier.

Why don't ya post a picture of you with your car? hehe

Oh.. who polished your runners?

I am running a Holley AFPR at 46 lbs. of pressure.

I got my polishing done by Kelkare in St. Jacobs.

Being new to this forum, and for obvious reasons, I will not post pics of myself. Hope you understand.

IROCKER, not sure which links weren't working for you, but they seem OK at this end.

nblanchard, nope don't take it to the track. She is a garage queen. :hail: But, I could always throw the hard top on and have fun.

I just got the car back from the body shop. What do you all think of the new high rise cowl hood and louvered heat extractors? Can't wait to reassemble the rest of it!

What visibility? :sillylol:

I can barely see over the dash as it is. I'm only 5'3". The way I look at it is, if you don't like my driving get off the sidewalk.

Strange...now the link works! Those flames are sweet!

And the hood and louvers on your car are looking pretty good too! Is that the only photo you have so far? No full car shots with the new hood?
