Broke down and bought me a Z28 Got Pics!
Yep!! I now belong!=) It is a 1986 Z28 Charcol grey in colour, loaded, new rubbber, new alternator, new wiper motor. targetmaster 305, 700r. 256k's. Bad part is, the front end has some damage. The lady who owned it drove off the end of a road into a corn field. It broke the windsheild, and bent the front end up a bit. Not really sure if it is repairable YET! Bought the car for, get this $200. Yes $200! Do you think it's worth it? It even has a posi! Don't have any pics yet. Soon to come. I now Belong!! Lets see what I could do with this toy

Yeah, thats what I thought too. I would like to fix it though. It is a sharp looker. On the drivers side I can see that it slightly toar the sub frame connector, I could probably weld it back together. Who knows? I just have to wait and see right.
Check in with a few collision repair shop that that does frame straightening. A decent one should be able to do this in under 4 hours at around 65-80/hour. I would definately try to fix it man it sounds alright... Although it probly wouldnt hurt to swap out the motor someday
. You definately got a deal my friend!

Actually Greg. I have a 74 camaro 350 sitting on my garage floor. If the car is fixable the Targetmaster 305 will go into my Safari van. And I will build the 350 up for the Z. Hopefully I can fix it, if not I'll be parting her out. Just have to wait and see.

I will do my best to keep her as one, but I just may have to put her out to pasture. Not sure yet? She does have a few rust spots starting, the regular spots, around the rear fender well, a bit on the dog leg, and some on the bottoms of the doors. Nothing I can fix with ease, but more work. WInter project... my Monte SS is pretty much done, other then finalizing the body & paint. Primer just doesn't cut it. Only time will tell.

I am tackling the rust and paint on my car this winter come hell or high water! I bet that monte is going to look wild. What color you going with?
For the avatar thing you just goto user cp near the top of the screen and goto options I think. Then avatar pick a premade one, one of the www or one you made. To make one, just draw or paste or whatever on a 64x64 pixel picture and save as a gif or jpg.
Thanks I made mine from the inspiration of the new head unit
I swear clarion should start paying ME for all the people Ive steered towards clarion at school and where ever else...

Well thanks. I sure hope the SS turns out nice. Probably going to go silver again. But use the 2001 monte SS silver, it's a bit more brilliant> Not totally set on that colour, but it is the most reasonable, ... door jams, under hood, etc., all already silver. Who knows? Thanks for the info for the avatar> I use to be big on stereo goodies. Like the sounds of my car itself now. Hey to each their own.

Finally got my camera working again. Here are a few pics. Bit dark though. Shows where the subframe split some.

Here's a pic. from under the drivers side, you can see the tear a litttle. Do you still think I can fix it??
Not that you would take the offer but like I posted in the other thread I would buy it off you for 400
. I think if you pile up some welding and maybe brace it with extra metal? It should be fine. Not that I am some pro welder but it doesnt look too bad. The fender should be around 100-150 from napa, uap, carquest or one of those places (I got a price of 118 for my firebird passenger fender). Like I said before you should be able to get a good collision repair shop to straighten the subframe. But make sure you get that done before the welding obviously. Some subframe connectors should tie it back together nicely... No idea about the bumper though but it cant be that bad can it? Would make one nice winter project!

Interior is O.K. Needs a good detailing. Notice the 240km speedo. Hmm. That would be fun!!

Kaz, That is nothing, well its bad, but not all that bad, mine was not as bad as that but it was fairly close when I got it, clean that interior up, grab some new carpet and steam clean the seats and you will be halfway there. On the body it does not look too bad, and as for the floor, you can fully assess the dammage once the carpet is out, but you would be surprised what they can do to fix things.
I have attached one of the better pics of mine when I got it. I will try and dig up some of the ugly photo's for ya.
