Did the old boy get the 600 or the 600HO.Supposed to be a comfortable sled with the forward seating.Killer looking sleds.Good to see that he's a Doo man.

i think the 600 HO, but i am not sure. when i talked to him i hadnt looked at the website and i didnt realize there were 2 600s. he said she had 115 hp. he has always been a ski-doo man. he is hardcore into the snowmobiles, while i am into the cars. he gets a new sled every 2 years and they are almost always MX-Zs. the last one he had was a formula 500, same powerplant as the MX-Z of the same year, just a softer suspension. i guess he liked the new riding position the new MX-Zs, so decided to go back to them. he does alot of long rides. like 400 km in a day kinda thing.

Ya that is the HO.Basic 600 is 107hp,700 is 120's.That sled should be knocking at a few 700's back doors. If your dad lives near you i assume he benefits from lake effect of of Huron.Do you know if he has the patented ski-doo electronic reverse?Press a button and the motor slows down from idle to a stop then starts spinning backwards to move the sled in reverse. My sled has it even with the annoying beep, beep reverse signal.

Brad, I'm surprised you haven't tried to put a set of wheels on the front skis and take it down the track

I've seen a few sleds run at Cayuga and they move... I've seen a few in 11's

hehehhe...yeah i want to take it to 1/8 mile snow drags that i hear they have...but i dont nowwhere they are. it should be a quick sled, it has an excellent horsepower to weight ratio.

skidoo68,

yeah he has the reverse on it. his last 2 sleds at least have had that. a nifty and useful feature if you ask me. yeah he is benefitting for the lake effect snow. we live on a farm near Ailsa Craig and we have an olde cabin up north, about an hour north of parry sound. so he heads up north alot during the winter.

Yeah man I've seen them drag sleds at Grand Bend. It's crazy...

I saw a kid run a mid 11 on a nitrous sled with no shirt on.

The Mach is a 800 triple cyl, triple piped.Stock hp is around 152 and around 560 lbs dry weight. The 100 lbs difference between the Rev and Mach is very noticable. They are a different chassis with a different purpose. They usually have some snow drags in Listowel in Jan some time. It's a sanctioned event with timing lights, time slips for the usual reaction, eta and speed.

That's a pretty nice sled you've got there I thought of switching to Doo myself, I'm a Cat owner. I don't want to start any arguements tho LOL. I basically like all the makes except for Polaris. I really like the smooth and lower engagements of the Ski Doos not to mention the quieter exhaust notes. With my pipe I'm pretty loud and I engage at about 4700 rpm which is a downfall of the Cats. By the way I own a 98 ZR 600.

This one isn't mine but this is exactly what it looks like;

Oh yes for third gen content it looks real good parked beside my IROC.

Hey Corbi is your sled EFI?For engagement mines about the same. You can get a different primary spring to lower engagement.Myself i like the higher engagement and that is where these 2 strokes work best.Nothin wrong with a little brand bashing though, all in fun.I have a riding bud that has a 96 ZRT 600,he never hears the end from us Doo riders. We have a Polaris riding with us and i keep bugging him to trade his Polaris cover for my Ski-doo cover. That way i can guarentee my sled won't get stolen:sillylol:

Polaris Cover LOL That's pretty funny.

No she's not the EFI but the carbed. The salesman talked me outa the EFI for some reason or other but afterwords I wish I had picked up the EFI that way she would be pretty much in tune at any temperature.
And ya we do a lot of Name-Brand bashing with my buddies to. Their favourite last year was calling my Cat a house cat last year because I didn't take it out.

My buddies 1999 Formula 3 700 engages at about 3700 rpm and was alot quieter than mine. I don't mind the high engagement when we are riding hard but when you want to go for an easy ride it sometimes gets annoying when it spools up that far.

I do love twins tho I can ussually keep up to his 700 triple for about 200-250 feet then he ussually starts losing me.

Ya thats right the sled looks great by the Iroc.
House cat thats a classic, quit ***** footin around and drive that ditch pickle this year
That 700 F111 has lots of bottom end torque with the single piped triple.I've driven my buds ZRT and i'll say the front end handles great. The Doo's are known to push and have a little inside ski lift. But hey without driving with a little body english and leaning into those corners what kind of fun would it be anyway.Hey at least we're drivin the same year Iroc's.Is yours TPI or carbed. If i could get the wife to move it would be up in that area.Have 2 good friends near Lion's Head, only a ferry ride away from you.You must have some wicked winter weather being exposed to water around you.Or not.

Ditch Pickle LOL I like that. I am definately riding her this year in fact I just finished cleaning the carbs and checking everything out, I'm going to wax it tommorrow and then run it for a bit. The snow has been putting down a really nice base so far and if it doesn't get mild we should be in for an awesome riding season.

By the way my IROC is carbed. It's the original LG4 (Big muscle - lol J/K) with an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, edelbrock performer intake, 3"x14" open air filter and flowtech headers, Dynomax superturbo catback and converter delete.
