Power Antenna

I was reading in the Appearance board that some guys were rebuilding their power antenna's with a rebuild kit from GM. The last I had heard about it, I was told that GM didn't carry the kits anymore. Has anyone ever rebuilt their antenna's recently, and if so, what did it cost for the kit? Or, is their any suitable aftermarket ones available? I picked up one at a Surplus store last year, but the mast wasn't long enough to reach through the fender wells. The same one is available at CT. If anyone has any leads on a good used one, let me know. Thanx,
Kev

I don't think Nathan's on the board anymore so try emailing him. I know that he had installed on on his GTA.

Sostar18, take the passenger side wheel off and remove the plastic inner fender well. You will see it sitting just inside the fender with three wires going from the motor back into the body. It is held there with a small bracket and I think, just one bolt. It might be helpful to remove the fender vent. It will allow you to get a hand in there.

I suggest tying a wire(or the like)on the radio end of the antenna so when you pull it out you can easily route the new antenna wire the same way..just an idea
