No more nose diving!!!

Well springs, shocks and struts are installed! car sits higher in the rear, have to wait till it decides to settle...

The front brakes a lot cleaner now, its dramatically different as before it used to nose dive dritty bad on hard braking, it still does, but only about 1/10 of what it used to do, the feel of the car is generally the same, although the kyb's have the edge of being kinder to bumps and potholes than those crappy monroe shocks that were just plain too slow to respond...

can't wait to put on the 16's again... will be fun... no more defector scrapes with the 16's on...!!!

awesome slade!!!

what shocks did you go with?

I can't wait to get some new shocks/springs in now.

Gonna do SFC's and bushings first tho to see how stiff the ride is then figure out exactly where to go from there. You made another good point about SFC's in the other thread about hardtops and SFC's. My car barely makes any squeaks and rattles over train tracks or any kinda road and I"ve had it jacked up in every possible crooked way checking it out and the doors have always sshut no problem... so I'm not expecting as much from the SFC's as someone that'd conv or ttop would but I still feel its a very necessary upgrade.

If you buy shocks don't bother buying the Monroe Sensatrac from Canadian Tire, they're crappy. Believe or not the heavy duty gas ones that they sell are actually better than the monroes (and cheaper too). Other than that go with regular KYB's or KYB GR2's - they rule.

I'm thinking maybe Bilsteins... but I havn't seen everything that's out there yet. The eibach pro-kit w/ bilsteins seems to be a great combination say many here at the boards. I see most who run the sportsline springs going with KYB's.

I agree about the Monroes, they're too soft in the front. They work ok for me, I drive mostly highway miles, but they're definately not a performance choice. Most F bodys seem to like the Bilsteins. I had the adjustable Koni's on a 5.0 GT years ago and they were great, so I guess it's a matter of personal preference. They're both a lot better than factory or Monroe.
