anyone order stuff from the states??

i am gunna be ordering door panels a center consel and front and back seats off a 4th gen firebird and i was wondering if anyone has a clue how much it will cost to ship this stuff from texas to toronto ontario. i never had anything shipped from the states before and dont have a clue about this shipping stuff so any ideas would be great, thanks

Shipping the seats alone I wouldn't be surprised if it's over $100CAD. The whole thing would not be cheap.

I agree, those fees are a Bitch, comes in handy having relatives living in the States you can mail stuff to and go pick-up yourself.....

Don't let them ship it UPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I refused a shippment ...it was a 104 dollar box of hardware that wieghed 1.5 LBS ..... they wanted 38.00 CDN #$%&* that ...so I redused it ...... I got it sent back to me United posatal service ( registered ) ....it only ran me a little 17.11 PLUS IT WAS HERE 3 DAYS QUICKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya I agree with the UPS thing.....heck man I even use to work for them and I certainly wouldnt use them for anything.

Have the shipper send it US Post- it's the cheapest for freight- and when Canada Post brings it to your door- they collect the tax money on the declared value and a $5.00 processing fee. This processing fee is basically the brokerage fee you would pay any other courier- but the fees range from $40 to $80 depending on the courier (and you still have to pay the taxes).

i agree on the UPS thing, DONT SHIP WITH THEM!

buncha ****ing retards. i had to pay $65 for my $100 valve covers on top of my $25 US shipping... on top of that it came broken...

good part was i got my insurance money from them, got my $65 back, and got to keep the valve covers which i fixed and now have on my car... teehee

Agreed on the UPS issue. They're crooks. $50 fees on a $75 stripped R/C car chassis (now my NMT). I'm still bitter about that one.

well i decided not to order it i bought a camaro insted >1983 z28 with 350 modded like crazy give info and pic tomorrow after i pick it up and all the paper work. look like i am gunna be selling my firebird or parting it out.
