sorry to hear about your car. that sucks, no matter how it happens. i hope you are alright
but.....
you need to learn how to drive. if is slick, dont power shift and dont drive so fast. if you are drunk, dont drive, especially in bad weather. good thing you didnt hurt anyone else. it is idiots like you that drive insurance rates up for young people like us. i think the next car you should get should be something you can handle, like a tercel or a bus pass.

Whether you were drunk or not there's no excuse for losing control like you did.
Since you seem to have a decent income from the last couple cars you've owned I suggest when you buy your next sporty car that you take it and yourself out to one or more driving clinics. Not your basic drivers ed course but on-track testing and lapping days at Mosport, Shannonville or the like. Lots of them offered over the spring/summer/fall and you'll come out of them knowing how to handle a car in unsuspecting situations. I doubt you were sober and I totally doubt that even if you were that you would have been able to save your car at the speed you were going at in 3rd gear in the rain. A delayed reaction isn't the issue here. It's anticipation, which a good driver posesses, that you severly lack.
I can't believe yer posting this on here and possibly even looking for sympathy? I'd be too embarrased to myself if I did something this stupid. Im glad to know that car with you driving it is off the road now. Altho knowing you want an Escalade now doesn't make me feel any safer. Hope yer learning from all of this.

You stupid mother****er
I'm glad your Ok but you'd better look at an Echo or something because nobody is gonna insure your *** on an Escalade. Did the police decide that you had enough alcohol? You've got some big brass ***** for posting this. Or maybe you're just one of those retards that likes to brag about how many cars he's wrecked. I know a couple of guys like that

IMHO....
..I'd definitely go for a GMC SUV. Depending on how much money you have, I'd go with a Yukon or a Denali. They're pretty sweet lookin' and if you want, you could pimp em' out with rims, lowering kit, a custom paint job, and custom stereo. Mainly though, I'm just recomending them b/c you have a baby girl...and once she gets older, and you have to drive her and her friends around....it's all about space. Besides, I think they'd be better at handling in the rain....but not after drinking and in the rain....just rain....ok, and sh*t loads of snow and mud too!

personaly I dont think its a write off
too valuable a car with not sooo bad of damage
Worse problem on that car is the loose nut behind the wheel.

2 things... you shouldn't own an fbody, you can't seem to handle driving them! AND, I say this without sympathy because I drive to hamilton a few times a month and I dont' want to be one of the unfortunate souls you smash into...
Please buy something with in front wheel drive with less than 128 hp to it and do the world and your family a favour!

LMFAO! No offense KWF, but u drive a V6...
The officer didnt even give me a breathalizer because he knew I was fine... I got no alcohol charge... I was charged with Leaving Roadside Unsafely... Its 2 points... It was that storm in which we had ice pellets... This happened before Halloween... The car IS a right off... Ive already got my insurance money.. Ive already had a quote for a new Escalade and its cheaper than whut I was paying for the SS... $200 dollars cheaper... Every accident I have ever been in has been in the rain... Always weather conditions.. My problem is that I think I can still drive my car as I do when its dry... You'd think after smashing up 4 of these cars in the rain, I would learn that I cant... I talked to the insurance company today and I can buy the SS back... If any of u are interested in any parts from this car, just pm me or email me... If I can get rid of the goods, I'll do it for any of the guys who didnt just bad mouth me in this post.. The engine and tranny are mint... The interior is mint also... I dont know if the rear end (differential) was hit or not... Let me know whut u need...

LMAO - "Leaving the Roadside Unsafely" - I've done that too many times to remember but it was almost allways on a track. Also, driving in the rain is a f'king blast IMO.

4 cars
like u admit that? I bet its safer to walk down the middle of the road on your block, at least we know u wont be on it
Escalade's are kool, we enjoy our EXT. They got alot of Major blind spots but thats about it, the rest is sweet. The 6.0 Vortec's really haul for such a large truck.

Dang Kurtis!!! Your just having no luck with these cars dude!! Time to go 4x4 or something???
U got it Kaz!
Thats a nice Escalade Hawk... I think Im gunna get the normal SUV tho... I was debating on the EXT... But I heard its not to good for a system... Im actually thinkin of taking the car from the insurance and repairing it... The unibody is bent but I have a guy who says he can straighten it perfect... Thats if the price from the insurance is reasonable...

The GMC Envoys are sweet, and or a New Denali even. I have driven quite a few of the Avalaches, and one Escalade. I have to be honest I wasn't very impressed with them at all. A Envoy, or even one of the new GMC Canyons would be a sweet buy.

I wasn't saying learn to drive like me... I was saying LEARN TO DRIVE! I stand by my first point. Get in something you can handle or get off the road. Keep all the rest of our insurance premiums from going up..
