I went to GM today and I hate when parts guys think they know so much when they don't... trying to tell me I need that plug to be open.. I finally told him to shut up and give me the part # for it.. Dude, it's like a 1/4" NPT plug. Go to the freakin' parts store, lol. That would be a $30 SPO part from GM anyways.

If your speaking of the one on the top of the block by the gasket surface for the intake part # is 00444613 1/4" NPTF

If it is the one on the back of the block it is part # 140817011 1/4" NPTF

The bad part is I believe both parts are discontinued.

Well **** me, I was right, lol. Gerrit, just go to a parts store and tell them you need a 1/4" NPT plug. The '85-88 cars had some sort of sender or sensor there.
