August 13th cruise
Here we go again. There seems to be lots of interest (from the ottawa end at least) to go back to Shannonville for the August 13th cruise. I guess we'll post here since the other thread is so long.
The last time we went, Chris and my family stayed at his cottage on the bay at Trenton and he suggested he could likely accomodate some rough camping (tents etc) if anyone is interested the next time around. It's about 20 - 25 minutes from the track (west), 5 minutes from Tenton, 15 from Belleville. Just let us know if there are any takers.
This gives us two weeks to get this thing off the ground. It would be cool to see some new cars and people come out. I think everyone that went last time had fun.
Hey Buddy...Isn't that your car dangling from my lift? Hmmm... there seem to be a few spare parts! I just hate it when that happens.
Sounds like a rematch is due!!!

One week left to get those beasts ready... of course I'm only posting to bring the thread back to the top, but who is planning to attend this time around?
BTW Buddy was trying to coordinate these cruises at a central location (half way between Ottawa/Toronto) so to encourage others that may like to come out and meet. We're a 2-21/2 hour drive as well from the track...

Oh no guys, it looks like the weather may be a shot at this event. All the crowd that said their going may get hit
. Oh well. My car just slapped me with some "service soon" anyway. If it works whatever has decided to go south on it out and the weather is okay, (last time it was supposed to rain too, but turned out great) I'm still in.

I said I'd be going, but looking the way it is right now, I will not.
Its hard enough keeping it together on the dry roads, so I'm not about to go for a tour in the rain...
Next time hopefully.

The weather isn't co-operating this time around. Well there's always next time around. The next one is September 17th I think. I have to work that one, so I won't be there. But if the seasons go the way they are, summer might still be in October, and the last one of the summer is then, I'll try to go to that if the seasons are game.
On a side issue, I was wondering who Ottawa way (or beyond either direction) would like to get togeather for some pics and such later this summer. The first bit of September would be good some weekend. The huge Kemptville gathering a couple summers ago proved good, maybe one this summer, even bigger. Maybe even a stroll to Brockville for some snapshots. I have yet to see a better place around here for backdrop, Brockville is absolutely beautiful. For anyone game, shine "em up for September then!

Pictures - Absolutely. I carry a digital with me and every third gen I see I try to get a picture or two of it...
Brockville is very scenic...
My last Z, an '83 - I used to try and find the perfect backdrops for 'poster value' pics. Gatineau Mountains have some nice places as well...
Details when available please.
There are really a lot more of us in Ottawa than I've seen on the board...
My dad and his friends took some really nice group shots of their Vettes. Enlarged and mounted poster size.
Dads - '74 Stingray T-Tops - Corvette Silver Mist
Bobs - '75 Stingray T-Tops - Custom Metallic Blue
Erics - '73 Stingray Convertible 454 - White
Waynes - '86 Convertible - White
Ginos - '91 ZR1 - Black
I'll post later perhaps...
