What Kinda Hp do you have.....

Looking at the previous posts, some of you guys have some pretty extensive(&expensive)mods. What kind of HP #s are you making.

A piece of advice for the 305... leave it in, put in thicker head gaskets, and then add a supercharger. Modify the supercharger (not too hard) to make 10-12 PSI and get bigger injectors and you will be killing cars left and right.

For the dollars involved (and the constant headaches) playing with the engine is too expensive... unless you have major dollars.

Just my $.02

I would probably get 50hp more if I added aluminum heads to my car (maybe 15ft lbs.)

1986 Trans Am
carbed 350 - .30 over with 9.75:1 comp.
+- 315hp/390ft lbs.
700-R4 with 2500 stall
3.27 (ick!) gear
SLP 1 3/4" headers w/MAC catback and cat.
96 5 stars
SFC's, braces, arms, and a bunch more expensive stuff
no timeslips yet

I'm not sure how much power my cars make.I'd guess low 400's for the Z28 and around 280-290 for the GTA.The Z28's engine is on stand right now.I just got the heads. As soon as its done I will be going to Zeke's or DynoPowerServices to run it on a chassis dyno.

Not sure what I have. My 350 is from the late 70's and it is supposed to be 180. I have added a mild cam, and all new internal parts plus the headman hedders. The machine shop guys thought it might be 300 hp. However I have never had it tested. It does go like stink but that is just me comparing a friends Z28 with a 305 AND NO MODS

Their are chassis dyno's in Scarborough (DynoPowerServices) and Montreal (Zeke's).Zeke's is SLP's Canadian outlet.

Since all Drive Clean equipped garages have chassis dyno's, I wonder if any of them would be interested in doing some after hours testing.....?!
