well as long as I stay on the main roads its not so bad.. We have had a great deal of rain and most of our salt is gone. Smaller parking lots and smaller roads are almost cleared too. I was going to ait for every last bit of salt to be cleared but Im taking coop back home at the end of the month, so the car will need to be insured for the ride home in a couple of weeks anyway...

Not sure if it is an age thing or an insurance company thing -- but I turn my insurance on and off throughout the year with a phone call. It currently has 'parking' insurance which is fire theft and etc for $16 a month. I can call my insurance company on Friday and turn my full insurance ON for a few days then OFF it on Monday. No problem just get billed increased premiums for the few days.

Also, I wouldn't put my Formula on the road until there is zero threat of salt -- my car has not been winter treated from day one, never even been oiled in fact you can see the blue overspray on the light gray factory pigment on the underneath of my floor boards. I figured I'd wax it this winter.

RP.

Yeah, I'm the same as palric...I could have just called up my broker and got the insurance for the one day to go pick up my car. The last time she said they probably won't even charge me for it. But I've got full coverage on it now...I'm being hopeful that it's gonna be a good month! If not, it will go back into storage till April...no biggie!

Winter is almost gone!!! WHOOO HOOO

Man I wish I lived in Florida... ummm, no let me rephrase that ...I wish we had Florida weather here :-) ... I could do without the hurricanes, crazy forest fires, and tornadoes!! hehehe..

Anyway...I can see my front lawn again .. and the roads are all cleared... there is still a small bit of salt around but we have been having steady rain for the last couple of weeks and all of that crazy amount of snow is just about gone. I was talking to my buddy the other day and I almost went and pulled my car out of storage!! But better sense prevailed! hehehe ... But spring is fast approaching, Old Man Winters Back has been broken!! Yeeeaaa!!! hehehe ...

Can't wait to park my POS truck!! hehe... I have even caught myself driving my girlfriends Neon like I drive my Camaro! hehehe.. taking some fast turns and stuff, then I quickly realize " Holy f&ck what am I doing this is a freakin' Neon I'm gonna kill myself!!" hahahhahaa ... sigghhh

I have a few things to get ready before my car goes in the paint booth though... I have to paint the engine bay black, gotta get my headliner re-upholstered and put back in, then I have to get my new tires put on/balanced/aligned, next comes a set of SFC's installed and then I am off to the paint booth the second week of June!! WHOOO HOOOOO!!! Can't wait!!!!!

Come on Spring!!!!!

I've been driving my GTA for about 2 weeks now. I want to get the engine tuned and running well for the summer.
