Dish breaking and engine problems.

hey all
ok I have a couple of problems...

Example 1-> I go over a bump and there is a "dish breaking" sound usally heard. What is it? why is it happening? what do I need?

I have no idea. nor any pictures to back it up with.

Example 3 --> I have a small leak, not sure what it is! I think it was oil actually, its a small hose and it has a leak..
in the picture its right under that big hose as you see.. im pointing to it, and I also outlined where its located in the engine area.

I think the "dish-breaky" sound one you're referring to is shocks...my front left is going, and I think it sounds like there's a toolbox jingling over there somewhere....

well...that leaking house appears to be in the area of the power steering unit. power steering fliud is a oil and is like a dark red colour. so check the hoses there for cracks and make sure the they are on tight (check the clamps, etc)

Example#2

Take off your belt and try to move the pulley by hand,if it has anything more then a tiny bit of of up/down or side play it will need the bushing/ bearing replaced. I would go look at mine to see which it has but it's kinda dark out. It should be fairly self explanetary once you take the belt off.
One more thought try to see if you can tell if the play is located between the pulley and mounting shaft or if it is the shaft itself that is moving. Hope this help's you out SR

hey

well im driving.. than my car just stalls for no reason..
im like ?? ok .. start it up.. its fine.. I go further.. next stop sign.. it stalls.. than im like WTF!!!.. it starts up agian, Im on my way to my friends house and it stalls agian!!! im like Fl;haf;hs;fhasfsa
I pull over, check everything, looks fine to me. I get to my friends. Stalls for good. oil gauge readings 0, I check the oil meter 0!!
Than I see all this oil that leaked from my car from when all the times that it stalled on the trip... Than I looked underneeth with a flashlight and noticed that there is a hole in my oilpan I belive.
I think, something really got messed up some smoke from the oil adding area, and also underneeth all the oil got all over underneeth my car. what a mess.. it looks like im missing a screw or something from the pan.

thats real bad. if you ran your car without oil you have likely done some serious damage....you motor could be right fubarred. did you run over something to damage the oil pan or what?

when you say there is a screw missing from you oil pan do you mean the drain plug? cause if you took it out to change the oil and didnt put it back in.....well....lets just say i hope you have some money saved up...cause you are liekly gonna need a new motor or rebuild.

Its not that, this is the situation.
I didnt change the oil... I had it serviced at Canadian Tire not long ago actually for oil and lube. But today I was working on the car and I only changed the PCV valve.. which is ntohing.
I put in a new one that it needed.
Thats about it

Well try to look at the bright side if it is butched(and unfortuneately it sound's like it is) it will be great practical experiance repairing/replacing the engine.
'course it is hard to see a bright side while riding the bus......lol
good luck SR

UPdate:

got my car back today.. yes it was the starter..
I got a new seal for the oil pan.. and oil added.
The mechanic said the car ran clean. Everything was clean, no strange noises. The fix cost me $5 cause I had the warrinty.
So I just drove it home.. its good..
good to have my car back!
ill throw in some thick oil to fix whatever for the time being..
