Posting early this year so everyone has a chance to make plans.
I will be leading the north caravan from the O'hare oasis southbound off of I294
We will join up with the southern caravan and head to the show from there. Every year has been different amount of people but most times once both groups meet up there are between 8-12 cars. We will meet up around 9:30 to leave by 10 to make it to the show by 12. Any questions shoot me a message

just some special touches..a lot of here and theres..since you know the car,you may notice stuff..but the hopeful unveiling will be at 3rd GenFest....

 

damn it I always want to join in on the caravan but my buddy in Crown Point, IN wants to go. He's a good friend, and he brought his '97 Z28 last year, which has since been stolen. A true Camaro fan and it just sucks. We'll be there though!

So I'll be there Friday night; not a bad idea since it's just 30 miles east of Crete. One of these years, I am sure I'll join the northside caravan....

Hey Steve..For the other people here reading about 3rd genfest..If youre nearby the Northwest suburbs and are unfamiliar wit 3rdgenfest,and wanna go..be sure to hook up with steve..and possibly myself to ride together,southbound to Crete,for a good time shootin' the s#$% and hanging with others who appreciate our 82-92 builds,plain and simple...drink a few(beers/pops),peek at other cars,and rabbble rouse throughout the day..Its like doin Memorial day on the cheap!!!....with old/new friends..

 

how much more American can memorial day get than being surrounded with like-minded individuals and 3rd gen machines?

I will be coming from Minneapolis, MN and meeting up with a group in Milwaukee on my way to the Northside caravan.

If you are wondering if Thirdgen Fest is worth it, this is my 4th year in a row. It is a great time.

TeeHee!!...My Z still in shop..and I'm real nervous about getting it back in time!..I went to visit and it was still in same condition it was when I left it in the beginning of April...I'm telling myself that it wont be ready in time in order to let me down ez...but I'll be a real MF if its not done in time...

 

It's easy just look for the group of third gens then say hey I'm so and so. Has worked in the past

Steve...and other northsiders...I give up!..My body shop isnt going to have my car ready for this year..Needless to say, I'm FKN pissed right now...Believe me, I have thought of all my options, none of which get me my car back any quicker..I still want to go,obviously, but looks like thgis year I'm gonna have to be a passenger...unless by chance its a beautiful day, then I can bike it down..But if not, I'm looking for a driver who wants a wacky sidekick to ride along with....Maybe by then I'll calm down a bit!!..But I'm still gonna bring a few beers....

 

Normally I would offer but I will be leaving early, probably by three pm. If you won best paint in a previous year what is your car in the body shop for?

 

Tibo...simple answer..im real particular about overall condition of my ride...Ok..I'll say it..IM ****....I guess I'm more critical of my car than anyone..That being said, I was getting some paint work done. The one show I really look forward to is 3rd Gen. I've met some good people there..So, even if my Z doesnt make it, I will come down and support the show,albeit on a YZF R1....Which is also close to being mint....I'd rather have my Z,and I'd rather be chatting about something more positive...If youre doing the northside, I may be the only butthole on an import bike...like a square peg in a round hole...

 

Too bad your ride won't be ready.....I'd offer you a ride myself, but sadly I won't be attending this year. Wacky work schedule....

Steve..I may take you up on that..Im so frustrated about this ,The one show I look forward to..and the reason I keep puttin money toward my Z...and this no-talent *** clown of a body shop(whom I know..and you might too)..took my car in april 3..and was untouched 2 weeks ago...long story short is I'm 95% certain I will not have it back in time..amongst other things, my dad died on may 5, and my bro is in hospital with issues pertaining to his cancer...one could say I am being tested by life....I still wanna go to show...If really nice, I'll meet ya on my bike..If questionable..I'll ride with you....thx for the offer...I need something to enjoy for a change!!

 

Jeff..thanks for 2 things...offering me a ride...and not coming to show..allowed me one more chance to get more looks..albeit my car will not be making the trip(most likely)..see other post..

 

Jeff..maybe when I get car back..i'll come up by you for a cruise night or somethin....keep me in mind..i'll do the same...

Stop up anytime! . I'll miss seeing all you guys this year...hope you can make it even if your car isn't ready...Steve (Xpndbl) told me he needs a replacement drinking partner since I can't show this time!

jeff...and others who are reading this...I took my car back from body shop..they didnt even touch one thing, so even though i took some of it apart when i dropped it off..i took my car,parts and some add-ons,and brought home in time for the show..i will do my best to have it show worthy...xxxman and myself will see the northside caravan on saturday...and yes, it has been a lackluster 2014 so far.....

 

We will get her back to show quality before sat no problem. It's going to be a really nice weekend for TGF this year can't wait for the caravan. If you guys have any question PM me I will answer any questions I can. See you guys on sat

Ron 2014 gets better starting Saturday... see everyone down there!

(don't mind the slight damage on my front driver's side, some idiot hit my car while it was parked out front over night last year, haven't gotten around to it yet. Had to make her driveable, and she drives now!)

 

I shall be there, but without the TransAm, riding in the Focus again this year.

PS Pump is still being rebuilt, and the car hasn't been re-wired.

If anyone wants to help me work on it, I'm going up to my dads on Sunday. I will take care of food.

 

Dog pissed just off the side of the peepad, missing the caravan. See you guys there.
