How fast can I go w/$3000 on a 12.90 car?

So far, I have a ZZ4, headers, stock tpi, 3.73 gears, 2000 dacco stall converter, 3"exhaust, sub frame connectors and other little things. What would you all suggest I get to go faaast? And how fast could I go? Is hi 10/lo 11 possible? No power adders by the way I was thinking maybe a high stall, fastburn heads, HOT cam and SuperRam/Miniram....What do you think?

OK, you are trying to go low 11's with no power adder on a 350 and use pump gas?? I think this a bit unrealistic. Going from 12.9 to 10.9 needs quite a bit more power than from 14.9 to 12.9. IMO you have very few parts that are up to 10.9 level. Why no power adders?? What is your mph right now?? I think with 3000 you can add quite a bit of power though.

Thanks for the reply!

In reality, I already have a fully ported SuperRam and an ATI P600B. The ZZ4 has 10:1 cr and I am actually thinking about selling the SR and getting fastburn heads to lower the cr to 9.6:1. I don't know if it will help hp at all if I keep the stock tpi. I'm just weighing my options.

Stock TPI blows a big one. I also have a ZZ4 and dyno'ed at the wheels at 257hp/ but I did have 356 tq.

Good luck.

Gofasterbird, my mph (best) was 107mph and that was the 12.9 run. As of now, I am planning on running the blower 12psi w/3 core intercooler and having it tuned well at a dyno place. I am also planning on selling the SR, getting fastburn heads, selling the zz4 heads and getting either a better intake used or a better torque converter.

Freebird, what other mods do you have?

yes, that is a g-tech time and yes I have stock runners...stock base and stock plenum as well. I am not sure how confident I am in the mph but I am confident in the time. I took it to the track before the subframe connectors, with just a stock stall, and before several other things (including 2.73 gears) and I hit a 13.4 without launching, and with peeling out

I'd say put the procharger on it and you could see 11's

i knew that 107 was hokey. I think more like 101 mph.

Anyhow, I really have no idea of your intensions and what parts you do and do not have. Like, you have a superram, and are selling it. Why? Buying fastburn heads for the bigger chamber? I thing pimpjetta has it right. put the parts you have on it now(with some thick head gaskets or/and maybe remove jagged edges in the chambers), tune it and save the rest of the money for stuff that breaks. Your first post was so misleading, I feel cheated as a tgdo member.

lol you feel cheated? why? haha. Anyway, I am thinking fastburn heads for the lower compression ratio. I am married and have kid on the way that is why I wouldn't have any other money to play will. Also, at the track when I ran a 13.4, the mph was 105.

Yeah, those G-tech times are not to be trusted as concrete. For example, my car had a trap of 111mph and only turned a 13.3.... I think I would have to assume that I would only get around a 104-5 trap in the 1/4 with my car and maybe a high 12 with sticky tires.

Another example of a wacky combo is my buddies Malibu with a stroked 400 in it with all kinds of goodies. He tried to G-tech his car on Sunday but just couldn't get enough traction to get it to do a reasonable time. He gets mondo mph though.... His last G-tech run was a 12.73 at 121mph.... lol.... :sillylol:
