I am in need of assistance!! HELP!!
If someone has an '89 MAF system and the time, please go out to your car and take a photo of your EGR solenoid and draw out the vacuum line set up on a piece of paper. Then post the pic here and explain the vacuum line routing here so I can joyously jump up and down! I have searched the archives for the last 2 days and all I find is vague posts about vacuum lines.
As the solenoid is sitting in the car on the passenger side it looks like it has 2 ports for vaccuum lines. Both ports point straight up one in front of the other - which port taps into the EGR and which taps into the throttle body?
Please!! Someone help!! I need to do this right! I've put so much dang time into this thing . . .

On my '86 IROC the solenoid is bolted to the passenger side rear of the intake base near the firewall and the dist with the two vacuum ports comming out the top.
The line from the rear port goes to the EGR valve; the line from the front port goes to a fitting on the bottom rear of the TB.
It sounds like the same location as yours and so should be the same hookup.
Hook it up; run the car on the highway for 2 minutes above 2,000rpm. If no SES you're ok.
BTW, are those ProMagnums 1.6:1?
