what roller rocker are you using?

What kind of roller rocker is everyone using? Which ones will fit under the stock valve covers. Show me pics and part # please.

Do the steel roller tip rockers fit, and will they help as much as the aluminum ones?

Thanks.

I have the comp cams roller tip rockers on centerbolt heads, they fit under the stock cover ok. Help? Well, anything that reduces friction will help some. Its probably a minimal difference on most street engines, more than that they are accurate ratios rather than the factory stuff which is really inaccurate. A full roller is the best way if you want to spend the cash. Steel would be better than aluminum, I'd look into the comp cams pro magnum, they have one now for centerbolt heads.

Crane Gold Race here (used when the motor was put together - even more used now). They work fine and fit under the stock valve covers. Pretty noisey though..... I am planning on going to Comp Pro Magnums this summer some time (like when I get a job, for instance). I am finding out that there is truth to the idea that AL rockers do NOT last as long as steel ones.

I use Crane Energizers. Summit had them on sale years back on them for around $130.00. I am not sure about seat pressure. The heads were either out of the box AFR 190's or stock 305 heads. The cam is pretty mild. 454 lift with 1.5s 216@ .05 lift.

I broke the rocker a long time back i'm not sure if it was before or after I did a motor swap. The rocker had a hairline crack right by the tip.

I am not trying to give them a bad name or anything but this occured on a mild engine either a 305 or a 350 with aFR's both motors were shifted at 5500 rpm. If the tip were to come completely off and lets say this forced the retainer off the valve and the valve was sucked into the engine it would cost alot of cash. I am still using them but if I go more radical and run higher RPM I will go with the Pro-Mags.

Im not sure about what ratio to go with. I have stock heads and cam. If I go with 1.6 will I have to get new push rods With the stock heads and springs?
