not sure if this is the place for this or not but since it has to do with the tpi and i have one i guess its the best place to start..

my dads friend has a 1996 i believe pontiac bonneville ssei...now some may not know this or you may..they came standard with a supercharger...now my question is...will this charger work on my engine (it puts out about 6psi) or would it be a waste of money to do this...(ssei=3.8 motor) it retails at like $4000 or so brand new canadian so would 1500 bucks be a good deal?? this is kinda something i wanted to experiment with cuz i will be getting a custom twin supercharger setup from paxton here in ontario in about 2 years so i wanna see how my car likes the supers b4 i drop major money.. my car will have a lumpy race cam, headers, cat back(hooker) and possibly minor engine mods as well

thanks for your tiime

ps i belive i have the 305tpi but it could be the 350...i smoke alot of the 350 tpi vettes with ease and have only an aftermarket cat back and k/n cone filter

Try posting in the power adder section. I believe that super charger is part of the intake manifold, so I am not sure how you would get it to work on a TPI intake. Unless you could fabricate some brackets and mount it on the side of the engine.

good luck

i believe the 3.8 supercharger is a roots blower (could be wrong though) and it wont fit on a tpi engine.

the superchager off of a 3.8 ain't gonna fit on a TPI...and beatin corvettes is kind odd unless you have motor work..and twin supercharger??? never heard of it but i'm from canada so e-mail me that companys site so i can see it i have the 350 tpi. twin charger would be awesome..i was thinking of of the VORTECH charger.

yeah that is a little far fetched, i have an 88 tpi vette and an 89 350 tpi iroc, and stock for stock the vette would beat down on the camaro like it was standing still. that was then though...

actually paxton here in ontario (Bradford) said they could rebuild the entire motor plus put the twin super setup for $15,000 canadian and i should come out with an estimated 900hp (using all top end performance parts cam/heads/ect)
and as for the smoking vettes well like i said i guess i have the 350 cuz i leave them behind pretty good and i know they are racing...but the dyno will tell all i guess

I don't know the site, but i vaguly remember a 67 Camaro with a twin supercharger setup. I saw it in either Super Chevy or Chevy High Performance (it was a small add). i don't know if they still sell them, but i would still kinda like to pop one of those suckers on my car .
