For people with aftermarket cams
I have an 89' Trans Am L98 Ported polished heads, Intake matched, ported polished runners/plenum/intake, 1 5/8 inch headers into a 96 trans Am Cat back, no cats, Ported MAF, no screens, K/N air filter, baffles removed from air housing, 1:6:1 Proform super narrow Full roller rockers, new stock lifters, new pushrods(stock) (I have access to prom burning equipment, Now, what i need to know, for people who have aftermarket cams, I want a lil bit of lope, I want to be able to hear it at an idle, but i dont want to sacrifice a lot of power for it, mabey a lil on the low end(obviously) doesnt bother me.... not to much though, what i would like is advice on specific cam grinds, w/ or w/o part numbers as long as i can find it....Anyone who has an aftermarket cam, a lil more on the extreem end with sound files would be greatly appreciated, thanks for the help and time in advance Matt Manglos

Matt87GTA sent me some sound files of the LT4 Hot cam and it's got a real nice lope to it. I'm using a cam with real simular specs but I'm still in the process of building it. Maybe Matt would be gracious enough to repost that sould file.
LT4 Hot cam:
218/228 on 112* LSA
My Comp XE 270 HR (custom grind):
218/224 on .495"/.502" 112* LSA.

in my 305 i have crane's 2032 214/220 with 1.6 RR ~.5" lift. Edelbrock headers, used to be flowmaster(now hooker, but sounds about the exact same) It has a nice sound at idle just a little lope. Just saying you're going to want something bigger than that in your 350. I have no problem driving it everyday, from NY to FL non-stop. I think the hot cam would give you the sound you want, but probably won't work to well with a full LTR setup.

I have the LPE "219" cam in my 355 and it doesn't have a real lope to it. It's kind of choppy but that's it. Most grinds that where designed be be EFI specific from the get go will not have much of a lope because they will have minimal overlap. I think

I am not Matt87GTA but he is one of my friends. His car is just flat out sick sounding. He has an American Thunder 3" with TES headers. It is the LT4 Hot Cam and what a lope it has. Go to this website and click on Matt's GTA Revving and you will not be disappointed

jd13 with traction (which will be very hard with that setup) and proper tuning you could get into the high to mid 12's but plan on being in the mid to low 13's.
