CAR WONT START!!! Help Please, this is frustrating!!
I have an 89 IROC and I have had this problem for about three months. Every once in a while my car will not start. It will turn over, but will not start, but if I pull it, it starts right up with no problem. I do not understand why it will start when I pull it, but it will not start with the key. It just turns over and will not start. I do not know why it matters, but it has never done it while it was still warm and has never done it when it sat over night or for a long time(i guess once it is completely cooled off). Therefore, it seems to do it only when it has been running in the last couple of hours. Also, it seems to be more likely to do this if it only ran for a minute or two rather than long enough to be completely warmed up. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

No, if it was the solenoid or starter related, it would not turn over. This is why I am so confused. It turns over, it just will not start. Thanks for your input though.

See, it is turning over fine. It is not dragging as you put it. That is heat soak, mine used to do that also when it was hot, so I put a remote solenoid on it and the problem was solved. This is a different problem. Thanks again for your input.

Try dissconnecting your battery for about 2/3 minutes. Then try to start again. If it starts no prob. It may be your O2 sensor. My 89 T.P.I did the same thing to me. Just a thought. Hope this helps?

having the same problem with my GTA, The starter turn's the motor over but it never fires up. Is it possible that the HEI Module could be causing a problem???
