Polished fuel rails for LT1 intake swappers

I've seen a few very clean LT1 intake swaps on this board. For anyone looking for a set of polished fuel rails for their LT1 intake swap, contact me privately at mdn124@psu.edu

I understand this board is not for any classifieds, so you will have to contact me privately.

Here's how a set turned out for my intake swap.

I sanded the rails (very time-consuming) and buffed the rails. Afterward I used aluminum polish. It's a long process, but they turn out very nice.

I started with 600 grit and worked up to 1500 grit, then finished with some Mother's polish. Took about an hour. I also did the fins on top of the intake the same way, except I started with 400 grit on those.

Looks good guys. It took me one hour with some polishing compound and a 30 dollar bench grinder with a cloth wheel. They polish very very well.

You will get a better finish if you sand the rails (320-2000grit), then buff out with a cloth wheel/rouge, then aluminum polish. That's what I did. I have tried to just polish the rails with the cloth wheel, but after comparing to the method above, I decided to put in the extra time. It's only a suggestion.

FYI, the only problem is with the Caprice/Impala/Roadmaster rails. They have the metal bracket that, over time, leaves some pits in the rails (only where the bracket touched). Most of that can be removed when sanding, but some small black spots often remain. I only have one set (of 5) that had that problem.
