MSD ignition

Planning on a MSD ignition 6AL. Where do you guys put that dam big ignition box. There seems to no room under the engine compartment.

Any noticabe improvements with the 6AL? Would it help gas mileage?

msd says that fuel mileage will increase. some mount the box around the drivers side firewall...

Thanks for the link!

Should I go with the A or the AL. Is the only difference is the two step rev limiter?

the 6al has the single high rev limiter and the 6a doesnt have a rev limiter at all.

6AL has an adjustable rev limiter.

i had my box right behind my headlights cause it is supposed to be the coolest spot in the engine bay......but man that thing gets HOT!!! so i mounted it on the inside of my car, on the drivers kickpanel. as long s you dont have a stick, its fine. i think it looks good there, great locatin to run wires, and most importantly it doesnt get hot.

if you want them to last a long time, you need to put them inside the car.

well its pretty simple........... there are wires that go to your battery... then your tach, ignition and distributor. the hardest part of the install is mounting the box and then hiding all the wires and making it all look good.

I put a Digital 6+ on my vette. If you want to make the MSD install easy buy the $15 wiring harness correct for your application! MSD should have them listed on their site somewhere.
