I want to clean up a throttle body, and I have a bucket of acetone and degreaser I've been using to clean all these other TPI parts... what do I need to take off of the TB to be able to just dump it in the acid-bucket for a couple hours?

 

Be sure to remove the TPS, IAC and IAC housing

 

I removed the IAC housing and the sensors...

Why does the housing need to be removed?
What if I took the IAC off and dropped the housing into the bucket?

 

Well I guess the IAC housing would be fine as long as the IAC is removed.

BTW: What is the 'clean air cover'? I notice the Accel 58mm TB doesn't come with it.

It is the top cover that says Tuned Port Injection.

 

Is that what it is?

I'm trying to rip some blue paint off of mine and it just wont come off...lol.

Came off the upper plenum in a snap...runners are still taking hits, but it is comin off them...TB is coming off nice now...
but that clean air cover just will not let go of it's paint...lol
