Anyone heard of Auto Tap for L98's?

Just wondering if anyone has a program like Auto Tap for TPI motors. Auto Tap is a computer program that taps into the cars PCM and displays the readings of all the sensors of the motor, speed, engine RPM, any trouble codes, fuel mixture, misfires. It pretty much tells you everythng that the motor is doing while its running. I've only seen auto tap programs for LT1s and LS1's and would like to know if there is one available for the TPI motors because it's an invaluable tuning tool. Thx.

There are tons of them. Do a search for scan tools.

It's more than just a scan tool. It displays every aspect of the motors operation.

I don't think our ecms are well, smart enough to know missfires, the obd2 systems can tell you which one is missfiring but the ecm is desighned with the intent of showing you this info, and you can turn functions on and off while on the fly, test inj. ect

our ecms are good but, not that good

Right. I was hopin g you realized there is a plethora of scan tool software for reading everything our ECM is doing. But 88 is right. Higher functions like determining misfires is a function of the OBD2 computer system and is well beyond the thinking capability of our ECMs.

A lot of people on the PROM board use Moates software. It's free and seems to work very well. A lot prefer it over Diacom.

Freescan is nice because it is Windows based, and You can use Freescan log files in VEmaster.

I havent personally used Moates software, Altho if his hardware is any indication I am sure it is excellent.

Umm, if you are running "ACCEL DFI", why would you need a scan tool?!?
