Timing won't advance...
Timing won't advance...
The timing is currently set at something like 13 degrees, when we set it at stock (6 degrees) it would barely run and/or start. We disconnected the EST wire and set it perfectly, but it ran horribly. Then we noticed that as we accelerated, the timing wouldn't advance, it would either say the same, or retard a degree or two (we never confirmed that one).
Any ideas as to why the timing would not advance?

advancing when accelerating? ALDL Scanner?

im sure they are implying one knows the difference between accelerating engine speed and vehicle speed.
the code 42 would be useless to discuss.
