Where is the cold start injector?
I did a search for "cold start injector location" that yielded 0 results.
Anyone have any pics?

To elaborate, it's just behind the #3 cylinder runner (that would be the 2nd runner from the front, on the driver side). It's a small injector that has a small steel line going to it from the back of the fuel rail.
Hmm...IŽve noted that my 305 is taking longer to cold-start (in a garage) these days. Last season, it fired up on the very first turnover but the other day I had to give it a little gas before it would fire up. Could this injector need cleaning or something?

Only when I cold-start it in the parking garage where I keep it. The garage is a few degrees below room temp.
Strange thing is that before, it would start up instantly as soon as I turned the starter- almost uncannily fast! Then when the engine was hot, it would take about a second or two on the starter before it roared to life.
The other day it took me two or three "tries" of working the starter for 2-3 seconds (and giving a little gas) before it roared to life. But when it was hot, it started up the same way as before. Almost as if the situations were reversed.
Also experiencing a slightly uneven idle.
Hmm...maybe my fuel pump is acting up or the injectors need cleaning?
(By the way has anyone reading this tried that "injector cleaner" stuff? Is is a bunch of BS or does it actually do some good?)
Thanks!
(edited for spelling!)

It sounds like you may be a good candidate to remove your injectors (all 9) and send them off to Rich at Cruzin Performance to have them all sonic cleaned and flow tested.
It sounds like your may have leaky injectors given that it takes you a few seconds of cranking when the engine is hot. As for the cold start it might just be plain dead, plugged up, or something else.

A faulty coolant temp sensor can also cause problems with hot starts. Because a cold car needs more fuel enrichment, it's not usually a problem on cold starts, but if the CTS is shot and tells your computer that it's -40* outside, it's going to add a ton of fuel and flood a hot motor.
Would that show itself on the water temp gauge on the dash? It is usually quite low, hovering around 140-150 I think. It never gets to the halfway mark and the gauge goes to 260... I just assumed it was the well-known crappyness of the stock gauges.
scorp508, thanks a bunch for the heads-up but IŽd probably have an easier time taking my injectors to someone here in Sweden! No need for them to cross the pond.
Can you tell by looking at the injectors if they need cleaning? Repairs on US cars arenŽt that cheap over here and IŽd hate to throw a couple hundred dollars out the window if it wasnŽt neccessary!

here is a couple pics, the green circle in the first pic is the cold start injector, and the green circle in the 2nd pic is the injector and the hole that it goes in.
