Lean Fuel Question:

Last time I took my car to the dyno, I found that I was running very, very lean. I think I hit 16.2 on the A/F Ratio. So I did some testing, and my pump is going out. I am having it replaced with a 255lph pump this weekend while I'm out of town.

Here is my question:

I am running 24# SVO injectors which are rated at a lower psi. This would mean that an equivalant 24# from Accel/Bosch would run lower fuel than the 24# from SVO. I can't get my AFPR to turn below 50 psi. So I changed my injector constants to 27.2, this way it makes up for the 39.5psi that the SVOs are tested for, and the 50psi that my car is running at.

Did I do this correctly? Does the AFPR, when turned higher, make a difference to how much fuel is added to the engine, or just a better atomization?

If it doesn't add more fuel, then I need to change the constants to the difference of the injectors, not the psi and the injectors. My BLMs are closer to 128 when I changed them to 27.2, they were at 108 for most of the driving.

Thanks for looking.

raising pressure does add fuel.
