Corvette C5 Injectors

Does anyone know if the C5 injectors will fit a TPI wiring harness, and will they work OK? I thought I heard that they use different connectors or something?

Anyone know?

To my knowledge if the C5 wasn't a Z06 or an LS4, and was just the standard LS1 its the same LS1 that the Fbody got, in which case the injectors work with TPI, however are a little shorter, and i think the resistance (or something?) was just a HAIR different which could possibly result in a slightly different fuel curve...

I know the information has been around, try a search.

Anyone know about difference of resistance and/or if it needs to be dealt with (and how)?

Hi Tim,
Yes, you can use LT1 injectors as replacements for your car.
LT1 injectors have a slightly lower resistance than the original injectors
that would have come in your car but they are still "high impedance"
injectors (or are sometimres referred to as a "saturated" injector).

The original injectors in your car would have a resistance of approximately
15 ohms and the LT1's will be around 12 ohms.

A "true" low impedance injector (also sometimes referred to as a "peak and
hold" injector) has a resistance of approximately 2 ohms and cannot be used
as a replacement for a high impedance injector without damaging the injector
drivers in the ECU.

Hope this answers your question. Sometimes there is a lot of mis-information
spread on the various message boards. I'm glad you took the time to ask.
Better to be "safe than sorry".

Rich J.

I would be switching from TPI to LS1.

its tpi to lt1

Do a search

they're also rated at a different fuel pressure than what TPI injectors are, so they wont flow what you expect
