TPI guru's please need help??

I have a 89 L98 that I have been having a problem with. #2 cylinder does not seem to be firing, I have tried new injectors and a new ECM and Prom. I have great spark, and have time and time again checked the valve lash. I have come to the conclusion that it is not the injector nor spark, nor the vavle lash, the injector is pulsing as I can feel it just as much as the other injectors. Could this be a bad ground issue, or am I totally over looking something?? Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thansks,
Keiran

Spark plug? Wire? Cap/rotor? How did you determine you have good spark?

I pulled #2 wire and put a brand new spare plug in it. Nice strong consistant spark, new cap and rotor too. Any other ideas?? Oh and new plugs too.

Thanks.

A good spark out of the cylinder is one thing, however when compression pressure is applied its another. How did it run when you put in a new plug?

Back to the original stated problem... how did you determine that #2 wasn't firing?

Have you performed compression and leak down checks?

What does the #2 plug look like? Gas fouled? Just like new?

How do the others look?

The plug was badly fouled so I went and got another one, it didn't clear up right away so I gave the injector a good wack. Bam! it cleared up right away, and now there is no touching the header. I thank all of you for your input. I would have drove myself crzy with this one, but all is good in TPI land!

Thanks everyone!!! :hail:
