Differences in 305 and 350 tpi systems..

what are the differences between the tpi systems on both engines.. runners and injectors? or is there more to it? the reason im asking is i can get a tpi system from a 305 for free including wiring harness and sensors and im thinking of takin it (well its free so i'll pretty much take it anyway but im curious ) and i was gonna swap it in with an lt1 intake, slp runners, and some larger injectors, and of course i'll need a prom.. what else would i need? (besides a new throttle cable and gaskets).. heard you can get some decent rpms outa em that way.. i know its not gonna have the same top end power as my carb but im thinkin about makin the car street legal (pass inspection) so i can feel a little more comfortable daily driving it... some better gas mileage would be nice (also doing a t-5 swap.. that should help some in this respect).... ideas? thoughts? comments? anything is appreciated!

i used a tpi from a 305 i changed the injectors, knock sensor, and the prom, plenty of low end torque and im averaging 20 mpg ,i built carbed motors all my life and i finally got tired of 5 mpg, jetting, power valves,i now can enjoy the car much better now.

most tpi's run out at 4800-5000,im getting 5300 then theres that brick wall, i have the upper plenum ported lower intake ported and matched to a 1205 felpro gasket which matchs the heads and runners are cleaned up.alot of other guys on here should chime in for better info.what part of jersey?

hamilton... central jersey basically.... im pretty much lookin to make it pull to around 5500 or so.. nothin too crazy.. power curve is pretty much dead after that on my dyno sheet with a carb on it.. would i be correct in thinking the same would be true with a tpi system on it or would it peak and fall at lower r's?

without porting and aftermarket runners and such ,your not gone to get past that.i could turn my motor 6500 before the tpi now 5300 and thats it,but for now im happy with it.

yeah, i was thinking lt1 intake, larger injectors, slp runners, and some porting/gasket matching.. not too sure what that would pull til.. anybody have a guess?

What are you talking about an lt1 intake with slp runners? Do you know anything about putting a lt1 intake on your car? It's not exactly bolt on.

you didnt mention what kind of tpi you plan on using, whether it being MAF or speed density, instead of utilizing a LT1 intake hows about the holley stealth ram, it comes both MAF or speed density and GMHTP magazine utilized it in a 86 iroc with a built 355 and had it pull mid to low 12s. this is definately worth the time and money for your project
