help choosing combo for low 13 high 12's which heads?
my delima is the combo i have in my sig. runs perfect. but i have a set of ported edelbrock 6085's on my workbench.my choices r:
1. change the intake from what i have now to a superam and leave the rest alone.
2. install edelbrock heads under the intake i have now(see sig.)
3. wait till the funding is there to do both
obviously you would say DO IT ALL. but my other question is r the 6085's so much better than the S/R torkers that warrant the headache of changing over, i can put a superam on top of the Torkers? my goal...... low 13 high 12's. and i got to pass CT. emissions is it possible?

I'd do the heads, although I don't have experience with those Edelbrock's, so I don't know if or how much better they are over the Torkers.
The cam you have seems better suited to long tube runners than a SR. And if your looking for high 12's low 13's, you don't need a SR to get there. I'd save the SR money for something else.

Do you have any track info on the current combo? If you knew what you run now, it is much easier to figure out how much more hp you need.
I agree with Buckeye about the cam, it is small for a SR, perfect for the LTR, and your stall suites the LTR setup better.
I'd imagine those Edelbrock heads are better than the torquers, how much, ?. But its gotta be an improvement, save weight, and you already have them.
Low 13s are easy, with what you have already you should be able to hit that IMO.

The Torquer heads will get you into the high 12's with the SR, I did it myself along with a Lunati 218-226 cam. The only advantage on the E-brock heads is lighter weight, they don't flow that much better.
