Yea, so my buddy has a 350 carburated blah blah blah in his formula, and we were working on my car, (5.0 TPI 87 TA) and he said, "Hey, That 5.0 is really cute." I don't know why, but I thought that was funny and deserved a post! Thats it!

 

So...what exactly are you going to do about it? Upgrade intake/cam/heads? Nitrous? Please tell me that you aren't just going to laugh about it...

 

he plays it off like he could your looks so small, when i look at my 350 then look at my step dads 305 i cant tell the diffrence when it comes to the size.

 

Well you really can't tell the difference between the two just by looking at it in the car.

I doubt he'd say that about some of the 305's some board members here have. As he'd only see there tailights.

I like bigger engines as much as the next guy but the 305 is a good motor. It gets dogged for to often.

 

2 sundays a go , i got dogged by a 87 iroc with the l98 it had 100,000 miles on it , so i raced him with my light modded 27,000 mile 305 tpi trans am , well i made the 305 boys proud as we raced from 60 kms to 200 and the 305 tpi was in front of him by 3 cars , when we get back to tim hortons the guy tells me man thats a fast 305 , i say yeh and its only got 200 hp (lol)

question for you guys here are you positive the 86 305 tpi trans am has the peanut cam , reading chiltons book rates the 86 305 tpi at 205 hp ,while the camero was 190 , i got the comp cam sitting here to next spring before i get installed
