Where to Get Torks Bolts?
Anyone know where to get a GOOD set of Torks bolts? I got the TPIS Stainless Torks bolt kit when I redid the motor, but I stripped through them like butter.

Why would you want to keep the Torx bolts? I hope whoever designed them has had the pleasure of working on vehicles equipped with them.
I second the ARP allen head bolt suggestion.

probly because you use mroe allen bolts then torx??
to be honest, niether of them should slip or strip if you properly engage the tool in them...... they should be able to take more stress then hex heads without stripping.
but if you put the torx bit in cockeyed and twist on it, you fugg it all up.... same for the allen head.

The problem lies in finding stainless hardware that's harder than a steaming turd on a hot day.

Hay Jim , I gave that TPISstainless bolt kit to my machienest / assembler ....... he said he HATED that kit ....he loved the torque heads better ........ He just shoke his head and said ......"you had to make it pretty didn't ya " . I just assumed it would be a good idea to get stainless hardware ....for the anticorosive feature .......shame it only came in Allen head
.....I have stipped them things too

Good Call on the ARP's. ARP is coming out with a TPI kit. P/N#1342004, but it is not out yet. They are awaiting the manufacture of (4) 70mm bolts, with no ETA. The kit has 46 bolts total. Pricing I got from ARP directly was:
Chrome Moly Hex $66.52/$84.55 Stainless
Chrome Moly 12 Pt $69.54/$103.96 Stainless
I explained my bad experience with TPIS bolts and was told that thier CM bolts were capable of upt to 170psi.
