I have heard the stock bottom end is good for around 400-430hp, after that, stronger internals are required. This is according to the big cheese at TPIS.

What qualifies it as an L98? The TPI? Just the stock smallblock?

I'm putting close to 500hp through my naturally aspirated L98 (flywheel hp). Of course, I'm not saying that everyone can do this ... but, I'm living proof that you can do it.

Based on what I have read about L98's, I would think this is pushing the limits of the stock rotating assembly. Was this ever a concern for you?
