I'd buy a set of drag radials first.

I would'nt spend the money on a new cat if your going to gut it. Just take the outside part of your existing one and weld it around a 3 inch pipe.

Wow thats pretty good. I have a home made CAI, exhaust, high flow cat, accel coil, wires, ported plenum, slp runners, AFPR, and a 2400 stall and my best time was 15.1 in my 305TPI. Like they said either by a high flow cat if you have to pass emissions or just gut your stock cat. No point in payin lots of money for something you are just going to ruin.

What type of nitrous system do you have?

Could you just switch to a 150hp shot? That would be cheap.

a set of drag radials would be the best invesyment, chip from perf.resources, march underdrive pulleys, pull your plenum and port it,by no means install the 150hp pills if you want your 305 to last

YEAH, I GOTTA SAY DRAG RADIALS TOO. THOSE 60 FT TIMES ARE TERRIBLE FOR A LOW 13 SEC CAR. OR ARE YOU SPRAYING AFTER SHIFTING INTO 2ND? IF YOU'RE SPRAYING OFF THE LINE YOU ARE LOSING AT LEAST 3/1OTHS BECAUSE OF NO TRACTION.

I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT I'M PULLING 1.6 60 FOOTERS WITH DRAG RADIALS AT 23 PSI.

I'M NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING HERE JUST STRESSING THE IMPORTANCE OF SUSPENSION AND TRACTION. MY TRAP SPEED ISN'T IMPRESSIVE BUT I GET OFF THE LINE AWESOME AND GOOD 60 FOOTERS EQUAL GOOD E.T.'S.

Drag Radials. No doubt.

The headers will get you into the 12's...
but it seems you have focused your ET on the nitrous. So I would help the nitrous, not the natural catch my drift? I have a pair of Nitto555R on the back of my car and they are great. Nice wet traction in case of rain, and they burn up very nice on the tarmac.

nice times! it's comforting to know that should i use nitrous, i'll be a low 12sec car with my mods.....if your mods really are all you've done. i have a 85 305 with a th350.
