Diff between 85 vette 350 TPI and 88 T/A 350 TPI

I need to know b/c I am hoping that when I put an 88 350 TPI into my 85 T/A with 305 TPI I can just use a stock 85 vette Prom (Until I learn how to burn my own proms) Def not going to be permanant but I am hoping to get good drivability out of it.

I already know that the heads on a vette are alum. but that is the only diff that I know.

An 85 vette 350 would have had iron heads and a flat tappet cam instead of a roller.

the vette has a oil temp that the F-Body does not that may throw a code because it is missing, however, beyond that if the cam is close to what the original vette had and the other original inners are the same I would think that it would work.

Well I have contacted performance resource and they said that the chip should work, but I decided to get a second opinion.

Your better off convertting to the 1227165 ECM, deleting cold start, and running $6E code.

Your even MORE better off converting to 1227730, deleting MAF and running $8D code.

Sweet, from what I understand is that his car runs fine with 85 ECM and vette chip, and his engine is alot more modified then mine will be.

I ran a '85 vette chip on my ZZ4 motor
for the first 6 months it was in. I later
did the '165 and then '730 upgrades.

mike

should still have a copy of an updated
'85 vette chip online.

So Mike, did you have any problems running a stock vette chip?
