cam question
i was wondering if anyone could give me an idea or what they think the idle quality of one of these cams:
Lingenfelter 211/219-.530/.560", or
Lingenfelter 224/234-.496/.520"... with 1.6 ratio roller rockers,
(the rest of the motor is upgraded ECM, chip, etc, aluminum RPM centerbolt heads, fuel press. reg., shorty headers, and flowmaster or similar exhaust...
-possibly big mouth intake base with larger runners-not sure yet)

Well here's my opinion.
In a 305, the 211 will have a lope and probably 14" or so of vacuum idle in gear, the 224 will be more radical with less vacuum.

You guys think either would run with a Stock 87 MAF (165) ECM? Someone else told me the 211/219 would be fine with stock computer. I am Looking for a simple way to add some horsepower to my 305 before I eventually replace it with a 383.

With the 211 in a 305, you MAY be able to get away with just an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
