on the accel manifold there is a threaded hold the comes in from the top on one side of the manifold? it has a hex plug in it. what is this for. the original manifold doesn't have this. it goes in to one of the ports for the runners.

 

Show a picture of the manifold hole you are talking about, and I'll tell you what it's for.

this is the best pic I could find, I am in iowa at school and manifold is in IL!!!!!! the hex plug comes in the way the arrow points.

 

it looks like the cold start injector hole, but it looks a little small in the picture. That is the same place it is on the stock manifold though so I'm assuming thats what it is for.

 

Thats not cold start, thats where the fitting for the PCV hose hooks up. Cold start is down and to the left.

 

well all I know is that is came with a plug in itthat uses an allen wrench to remove it, the 85 manifold that I have as well does not have this.

The other pic you posted looks like theres another hole up there I didnt see before. Thought you were referring to the one in the side near where the runner mounts up.

Never seen that one before.

 

That's just an access hole to the vacuum. After they drill it they plug it and the vacuum then goes to the PCV fitting from the manifold.

 

so I should just leave the plug and no worry about hooking anything up to this

 

this is the hole that he's talkin about. i didnt know what it was for either.
