Wells MAF = Bosch MAF

I did a quick search, but didn't notice this mentioned, so I just thought I'd let everyone know.

Before I ordered a Wells MAF, I called them up to ask about their limited lifetime warranty and if it was valid in Canada. Anyway, the guy from Wells mentioned that they were now selling the Bosch units instead of their own design. Sure enough, when I got mine, it was a Bosch unit in a Wells box.

Did you disconnect the battery before you put the maf on?

When I went from a bosch to a wells, I had to disconnect the battery or it would do the same things you desrcibed.

I love my Wells, and have a friend who can vouch for it being a good maf also.

His bosch maf didn't last past the first N2O backfire, but the wells has gone through atleast one I think two.

I did disconnect the battery a couple times...maybe I just got a bad one...I thought I had read somewhere that they were calibrated for a stock setup..and since I have a coldair kit maybe it threw it off.....I may be wrong on that, since you said your freind has been running one with N20...I wonder if theres anyone on this site that is running heads/cam with the WELLS design?
Plus if it worked good..why did they switch back to the Bosch unit/...gotta wonder on that too...
