tpi running rich??

im getting a 87 gta with tpi its running rich and stumbles on idle and quits running sometimes when the ses light comes on. i think its possibly the egr valve vacume lines not hooked up or a bad egr or maybe the selonoid. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. the people who owned it changed almost every fuel related sensor they could think of but its still doing the same thing. it also has a new maf sensor. im getting the car cheap so hopefully no one says stay away from it and by cheap i mean under $1000 and it has no rust.

Pull the codes. Ask if the CTS and O2 was changed. How many miles? More info please.

i just got a chance to start messing with the car. it has 137k on it. it almost sounds like the timing is off because it pops every now and then. they changed the fuel pressure sensor thinking that was the problem. the egr vacume lines werent hooked up so i hooked them into wherever i could and i didnt see an egr solenoid. it seemed to smoothe out a bit after hooking up the egr vacume lines but im still getting a pop that sounds like timing. i know the ecm controlls the timing but could the dist. be turned far enough so that it throws the car out of timing and make it run like crap. i only have $400 into this car so itll be worth it to fix it.

i think i may have found the problem. i unplugged the throttle position sensor and the car smoothed right out just the ses light stayed on which is normal i guess. it quit popping threw the exaust when it was revved up.
